Up for sale is an authentic 26" x 20" Artists Proof of the original watercolor painting of "Designed-2-Win" featuring Rusty Wallace by Sam Bass. The Original edition size was Limited and not listed by the artist and sold for $250. Currently, the remaining prints are for sale on the Sam Bass website for $350.This one is marked with the a/p designate for being an Artist's Proof as well as a Remarque of a racing helmet all done in gold ink .An Artist's Proof is one outside the regular edition, but printed at the same time from the same plates without changes--usually first off the press as the artist examines and issues approval on the reproduction quality. By custom, the artist retains the A/Ps for his personal use or sale. Typically, 10% of the edition total is designated and hand-marked by the artist as A/P, then signed. It is, of course, signed by the artist. The COA will need to be obtained from the Sam Bass Studios, whom i have contacted and been told they will issue one to the new owner with photographic proof of ownership. The form is included with the print. This print has been unrolled twice since it's original packing at Sam Bass Studios. it is in near mint condition. After you purchase this item please take extra careful effort to unroll it as it is on poster board stock paper and is stiff. Hurried attempts to unroll it could result in creasing.
